Word Of The Day

POM-Tree - trees that grow in a tropical climate, having an unbranched trunk, crowned by large fronds. Pictured is NOT a POM-tree but a POM IN A TREE. Crazy Pom!

Word Of The Day

POMcho - A blanket with a slit in the middle of it, designed for Pomeranians to wear as garments.

Lilly looking stylish in her new potato skin brown colored "pomcho" with leather lace up front tie, accented with genuine turquoise and coral stone beads. I give the "pomcho" look a four paw rating.

Temps Are Soaring

Lilly's hoping that some cooler weather might be in our forecast soon. Looks like the lucky piglet hat isn't doing the trick.

Word Of The Day

POMistry - The art of fortunetelling through reading one's pom. Also known as pom reading.

A good pom reader is hard to find, most of them are phonies if you ask me. However, I found one that was spot on when I showed her these paw's of Lilly's.

She was amazing, she told me things no one else could have known about Lilly. She took one look at Lilly and profoundly spoke, " This dog will see many baths in her future."  She was dead on with that prediction.  Some pom readers are truly gifted.

Lilly The Model

Lilly helps me model a couple of my latest creations:

Pendant - Church Of The Holy Cross (Sedona)
Vintage photograph encased in 1x3 inch soldered glass
Single, tear shaped crystal glass (copper wire wrapped) bead dangles from the pendant

Back side of pendant is a vintage map of Sedona

Paris pendant has a silver tear drop crystal as well and backside of pendant says "I love you."

Lilly calling for her agent once we ran overtime and her milk bones where not on the set. Geeze, what a diva.

In Memory...

Friends were are
Friends we'll be
Friend for ever you and me...

June 21st Lilly lost her dear, sweet doggy companion "Chipper", to lymphoma. In a post early on, Lilly had listed her top 10 favorite words, and making that "top ten" was Chipper's name. Lilly got excited every time his name was mentioned. She loved the trips we made to Eastern, WA to visit Dad and Chipper and especially loved Chipper's visit to Sedona shortly after we moved here. Chipper was an exceptional dog and made every day a joy for my Dad. We will miss you Chipper, you were the best. Lilly and I thank you for being such a fun host every time we'd visit.
Lilly dog kisses to you Chipper. There will never be another like you. We miss you.

Updo's

Who doesn't like a good updo? We've got a wedding to go to this weekend and Lilly has been trying out some new looks. I think the glasses look smart. What do you think?

"Aniston"

I took Lilly to be groomed, thought a "Teddy Bear" cut would be nice for the summer. Lilly fell in love with these hair extensions. Honestly, I think Lilly and Jennifer Aniston could pass for sisters.

Just Another Tiara Sunday

Do you ever have those days when your tiara just doesn't sit right?

Lilly skateboards, lesson no. 1

It's a start.... Lilly's first skateboarding lesson. I do believe she's rather proud of herself, a little helmet and some pads and she'll be all set for lesson no. 2. Go Lilly!

Morning Face

You've heard of "bed head", that terrible looking, messy hair when you first wake up in the morning? We'll this is like "bed head" but it's "morning face". Here's Lilly's usual "morning face". Looks like it's going to be a late start to the dog park for Lilly this morning.

Staying Cool

Somebody knows how to stay cool during these 102 degree days we're having here in Sedona.

Pet Photographry; Makes An Excellent Gift

Were you at a loss this holiday searching for that special gift? What do you get those that have everything already? I think I found something that's fun, unique and special because it includes are furry friends, even highlights them in many ways and if your family loves animals like my family does, they will cherrish a special gift that includes Fido, or Lilly. I have come across what I think is one of the best pet photographers I have ever seen. Plan ahead and schedule a session this summer at a special location, 8 X 10's will be a perfect gift for the grandparents and others while a large portrail will look perfect on your own fireplace mantel. No time like the present to plan ahead. http://baileyandbanjo.com/

Sedona Dog Park

The park is located at the corner of Soldier's Pass Road and Carruth Drive, 950 Soldiers Pass Road. Thanks to the generocity of the residents of the city of Sedona for raising sufficient funds to build the park. Hundreds of donations by residents and two large donations by anonymous donors made this beautiful facility possible.
Construction of the park was finished in 2007, and Sedona Dog Park Inc operated the park until July 2010 when the park was handed back to the City of Sedona for ease of operation and maintainenance. Thank you Sedona. This is Lilly's first experience with a dog park and Lilly gives it a four paw rating. The dog park provides exceptional views, a friendly atmoshere and covered seating. An upper tier provides a more natural setting with trails that wind around native vegetation. A bench has been installed at the top of the "natural section" for you to sit and enjoy the spectacular views worthy of a photograph. Make sure to put the Sedona Dog Park on your itinerary when visiting Sedona, Lilly's anxious to meet you.

Goodwill; Great Source For Dog Toys

Did you see a cute dog toy at your favorite pet store, turn over the price tag and then put it back? Are you looking for discounted dog toys rather than paying full price? Lilly has two favorite places that she gives a four paw rating: 1. Marshalls now has a fair amount of pet supplies and usually has pet toys for $2.99 - $3.99 and 2. Goodwill is the best place for a stuffed animal at a discounted price. Quite often you can find a great selection of small stuffed animals between $.50 - $.99. Now the stuffed animals at Goodwill were never designed to be dog toys so the down side is that there is no "squeeky" but Lilly doesn't seem to mind either way. Lilly gives the Goodwill a four paw rating for price and repurposing. Note: When buying from Goodwill - purchase stuffed animals that are stuffed with appropriate stuffing matter knowing that you are using it as a dog toy. I picked up a couple cute small animals that felt as if they were stuffed with a pellet type stuffing that an animal might be able to ingest should the toy become pulled apart and the insides spill out.
